Jul. 21--American Eagle Airlines plans to once again take wing, discontinuing air service to Duluth, Minn., for a second time come Sept. 8.

American Eagle resumed service to Duluth in March with the help of a $1 million Minimum Revenue Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Less than four months later, it announced plans to withdraw.

This won't be the first time American Eagle has turned tail on Duluth. In December 2002, it halted service to the city after a four-year market trial.

Then, as now, the airline said the service had failed to turn a profit.
