Nov. 5--MAGAZINE MAY FIND NEW LIFE IN NEWSPAPERS: If Time Inc.'s Life magazine is resuscitated as a weekly newspaper supplement, Tribune Co. might play a key role.
The companies are discussing the possibility that Tribune might insert a new version of Life in some if not all of its 11 English-language daily newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and Newsday, sources involved in the talks said.
But the sources cautioned that the two sides aren't close to a deal yet. And there are no guarantees that all of Tribune's publishers would sign on.
But a deal with Tribune could be vital for Time ...
