The Mexican agricultural council CNA confirmed it would oppose the formula for the free trade agreement negotiations engaged by the Mexican government that would become an associated member to the Mercosur trade block (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay). CNA commented these countries are interested to export to Mexico dairy products, meat, coffee, wheat, soybeans and barley, products it considers sensitive. A free trade agreement with the Mercosur would imply the opening of above 90% of the trade flow.
