AP--Ted Marti watched carefully as two of his brewhouse workers, both sporting Schell's beer sweat shirts, guided the red-and-white cans from pallets onto a production line where eventually they would be filled with Grain Belt beer.
"That's one thing we're going to change," Marti said, referring to the time it takes for the cans to move single file before they're filled, topped and packaged. The equipment must be upgraded to handle the extra production August Schell Brewing Co. of New Ulm, MN, has taken on with its acquisition last summer of the Grain Belt brand from bankrupt St. Paul-based Minnesota Brewing Co.
