Oct. 4--Charleston International Ports sued the State Ports Authority on Friday to try to regain control of property the state agency seized from it in April.

Armed with a S.C. Attorney General's opinion that the Ports Authority illegally evicted CIP from its leased facility, spokesmen for the company say they want a state court to give them back their business until the two sides can mediate an end to this contentious business relationship.

Basically, CIP officials said, they're tired of being pushed around.
