Oct. 9--Investors may be singing happy birthday to the bull market, but some on Wall Street aren't sure how long the party will last.
Today marks the one-year anniversary of what is, for now at least, the bottom of the worst stock market slide in generations.
On Oct. 9 last year, all three major stock averages hit their lowest points so far amid a grinding bear market that began in early 2000. Since then, share prices have risen sharply, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the Standard & Poor's 500 index and the Nasdaq Composite index up 32.2 percent, 33 percent, and nearly 70 percent, respectively, by yesterday's close ...
