Oct. 1--STEWART AIRPORT, N.Y.--A new airline could be serving the airport in as soon as three months.

At a Stewart Airport Commission meeting yesterday, Kiran Jain, the airport's marketing director, told the commission that the airport is "pretty close" to a deal with a new carrier.

Jain wouldn't give many details but when Lou Heimbach, the commission's vice chairman, asked if it would be an airline anyone knew, Jain responded, "I would hope it's a name you recognize, yeah."
