By Kim Tae-shikSEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- The Cultural Property Administration (CPA) said Thursday it has designated ancient tombs in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, as a national historic site.
The tombs in Yangdong-ri, Juchon-myeon, designated as Historic Site No. 454, were believed to have been built from the early part of the Proto-Three Kingdoms period in the second century B.C. to the fifth century A.D. in the Three Kingdoms period.Thousands of relics were uncovered from five excavations, including the first one made by the Cultural Properties Research Institute in 1984 and four by Dong-eui University Museum between 1990 and 1996.
