Sep. 20--GARDINER, N.Y.--Beverly Tantillo is smiling this year.
Last year Tantillo's Farms only produced 5 percent of its normal crop. This year, the farm will be harvesting everything, Tantillo said yesterday.
"The size is beautiful. The quality is nice," Tantillo said yesterday. "We're very happy with our crop of apples."
That's the happy tune most other mid-Hudson apple growers will be singing this season. This year's apple crop is expected to be the best in recent memory, the New York Apple Association reported this month.
