Sep. 20--The Kittery Trading Post is preparing to undergo a three-year renovation and expansion project that will add 30,000 square feet of retail space to the outdoor specialty store.
The project is estimated to cost between $6 million and $7 million. Company president Kevin Adams said the renovation comes at a time when the trading post has done around $45 million in sales annually for the last several years.
The renovation begins Wednesday as the trademark arrow and bull's-eye on the store's exterior will come down. Company officials hope to give the 65-year-old outdoor sports retailer a new look to coincide with the ...
