Sep. 23--The first time was forgivable, maybe even the second time. By the third time Randy Rhodes' modular home wasn't delivered on the date it was promised, frustration set in.
"There were points where I was very, very irate," Rhodes said. "There was a time when we were in a position where we almost had to give up."
Four more delivery dates -- seven altogether -- would pass before the Staunton, Ill., husband and father of three would file a lawsuit against the Ashland dealer that accepted his $15,900 down payment but didn't deliver his home.
Earlier this month, a Boone County jury deliberated only 78 minutes ...
