Sep. 23--Revenue generated is only a piece of the pie when booking off-season events for the Colorado State Fair Events Center, says Assistant Manager Chris Wiseman.
Besides the dollar and cents, Wiseman said factors that play into the Fair booking an event for the Events Center include area market preferences, marketing of the Events Center as just one element of the Fairgrounds, Fairgrounds maintenance and salary expenses, a continuing effort to build programming with local roots, and a conscious effort to fulfill the Fair's agriculture-related mission and boost Pueblo's tourist economy.
