It was a tearful but happy reunion for freed Filipino hostage Angelo de la Cruz and his family shortly after he arrived from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates yesterday afternoon at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
De la Cruz, a truck driver held hostage and threatened to be killed by his Iraqi captors, wept and embraced members of his family upon deplaning from the Gulf Air flight at 1:45 p.m. yesterday.
