Sep. 13--The screws tightened on embattled New York Stock Exchange chief Dick Grasso, with execs at several trading firms publicly denouncing Grasso's $140 million pay package as "inappropriate" and "greedy."
A group of dissident traders, still operating anonymously, threatened to convene a special member's meeting to call for Grasso's ouster unless the board acts.
Three NYSE board members who also hold seats on the exchange set a special meeting for Thursday that will let traders air their grievances without Grasso present.
