Aug. 26--School's back and they're fighting in the halls. Not the kids, the retailers.
A spat has broken out between two of American teens' favorite clothing retailers. Abercrombie & Fitch is beating its chest over a number -- the number 22, actually -- that it claims belonged to its Hollister Co. chain before American Eagle Outfitters Inc. cribbed it.
Yeah, right, according to American Eagle.
"We believe the lawsuit is frivolous," said Neil Bulman, vice president and general counsel for American Eagle, which runs almost 800 stores under that name from its headquarters in Marshall.
