Aug. 23--Aapico Hitech Plc plans to invest 500 million baht more to double production capacity at its Ayutthaya plant by year-end to cash in on the booming local automotive market, particularly the one-ton pickup truck segment.
The SET-listed auto-parts firm said the construction of the new production facilities in Ayutthaya was expected to begin in December, doubling the capacity to make dies for vehicle components to two million units per month.
The investment is expected to help double the company's revenue to two billion baht next year, said S.C. Yeap, president and chief executive.
