Jul. 24--FOR SOME JOBS, WORKFORCE OFFICE IS THE PLACE TO GO: Large companies have options in finding and hiring the employees they need.
They can advertise or hold job fairs, with or without the help of consultants. Or they can go to their local work force development or investment board -- also known as state employment offices -- to find employees both on and off the job-seeking lists.
The type of jobs and where the workers are needed usually dictate the choices.
