Oct. 26--Three years ago, Julie Barefoot didn't have to work hard to sell Emory University's MBA program.
Nationally, the economy was riding high, and workers clamored to better their positions in corporate America. A master's in business administration from Emory's Goizueta Business School opened doors to high-salary jobs.
Barefoot is wearing out a lot more shoe leather today. Enrollment in America's MBA programs has fallen -- as much as 25 percent at some schools -- during the past few years.
