Oct. 21--VANCOUVER, Wash.--Same name. Different place.
Two Dutch nurses specializing in emergency care know this now.
They are in Vancouver this week observing how a U.S. fire department and emergency medical services system operate.
But their destination was supposed to have been Vancouver, B.C.
"They thought they were going to Vancouver, B.C., and when I explained to them that we're in the U.S., they were surprised but decided to come anyway because they'd already made reservations" said Richard Curtis, Vancouver Fire Department captain and paramedic.
Big difference.
