Jul. 26--The problem of ever-rising college costs recently hit close to home for University of Indianapolis President Jerry Israel.
His son, an economist, figured he would have to save a staggering $500,000 to send Israel's baby granddaughter to a top-tier college when she's ready to go in 2020.
"It just worries and troubles me that at some point we're going to price this product out of the reach of many families," said Israel. "We'll be back to where we used to be when only rich people can go to college.
"That's a scary thought."
