The first thing to say about the Court TV special "Al Roker Investigates" is that, despite the title, this is not a joke.
Roker, the happy-go-lucky "Today Show" weatherman, really does investigate, more or less, in this show he has produced and hosted (10 p.m. EDT Wednesday).
He doesn't wear a deerstalker cap or carry a magnifying glass, but he does do pretty much what a lot of newsmagazine correspondents do: Sit and talk to a story subject, then overhype the result with a term like "investigates."
The second thing to say about the special is that its subtitle, "Katie.com," the topic under "investigation," has ...
