NEEDLESS REGULATIONS WASTING BILLIONS, AIR TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION SAYS

 
WASHINGTON, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The federal government is jeopardizing the future of the financially beleaguered airline industry with costly regulations that produce little if any benefit to travelers, an industry official said today. 
"The airlines are being asked to spend billions on unwarranted government regulations that produce little or no bang for the buck," Robert J. Aaronson, president of the Air Transport Association, said in a speech to the National Aviation Club.
