Industry pushes for uniformity.(Privacy Standards)

WASHINGTON

THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY is taking a two-pronged approach toward a California federal court decision that calls into question whether a bill passed last fall extending the Fair Credit Reporting Act did its job in creating uniform, national standards for privacy requirements for financial services firms.
