2004 AUG 2 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Dog and cat allergen is found in all homes in the United States, according to a study featured in the July 2004 Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (JACI).
JACI is the peer-reviewed scientific journal of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Samuel J. Arbes, Jr., DDS, MPH, PhD, and colleagues from Durham and Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, gathered data from the first National Survey of Lead and Allergens in Housing (NSLAH1). The data was gathered from 1998-1999 by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
