LOS ANGELES -- Poor George Eads. The actor faced a room full of TV reporters at the Century Plaza, expecting a tete-a-tete about his film, "Evel Knievel," which premieres tonight at 8 on TNT.
What he got was a grilling. Eads and Jorja Fox, supporting players on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," were fired last week for staying off the job in a salary dust-up with CBS, which has the actors under contract through 2007.
Fox has since been welcomed back in the "CSI" family, and earlier this week Eads also returned to his role of Nick Stokes.
