PROJECT OVERVIEW:
A Moroccan/Pakistani joint venture was recently established in view of building a phosphorous acid plant in Morocco. The partners in the planned undertaking include the local OFFICE CHERIFFIEN DES PHOSPHATES (OCP) and the FAUJI FOUNDATION of Pakistan.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a factory with an installed production capacity of 375,000 metric tons per year of phosphoric acid. In so doing, most of the product output will be used by a diammonium phosphate (DAP) unit that is operated by FAUJI FOUNDATION's subsidiary FAUJI FERTILIZER CO. that is located at Port Qasim in Pakistan.
