First there was the bow-and-arrow birthday set - basically a curved stick and a taut piece of string, shooting arrows with what looked like suction cups covering the sharp ends.
Later, there was day camp and a first taste of "archery" - the targets seemingly a mile off and kids firing arrows all over the place with the counselors taking cover.
But the real thing is what Alexander Soukas and his bow mates do at such facilities as ArcheryUSA in Dedham.
