Mitsui Chemicals make melting point reducer for resins.(Plastics)

Mitsui Chemicals Inc has announced that it is to begin the commercial mass-production of an additive that can lower the melting point of resins and increase production efficiency.

The additive is made from polyethylene and is produced by means of a catalyst. When added to resins, it can lower the melting point by 5.10[degrees]C from normal.

By doing so, the additive will enable manufacturers to cut energy consumption and shorten the time that resins radiate heat. It will also make resins easier to mould.
