USA Drug of Pine Bluff has expanded its chain of drug stores into Oklahoma through acquisition. The company bought May's Drug Stores Inc. of Tulsa for an unreported sum.
The transaction encompasses 39 Drug Warehouse outlets and May's Drug stores. All the locations are in northeastern Oklahoma except for two Drug Warehouses in southwestern Missouri--two in Joplin and one in Webb City.
Founded in 1937 by Isadore Heller and Harry Ludmeyer, May's generated estimated 2003 revenue of $182 million. The company, which employs more than 900, was named one of the top five ...
