According to alcohol consumption figures from the Finnish National R&D Centre for Welfare and Health, sales of hard liquor are higher in Finland than in other Nordic countries.

Sales of pure alcohol in Finland reportedly amount to 2.4 litres for every person over 15 years of age, an equivalent of 13 bottles of vodka.

The corresponding figure in Denmark was reportedly nine bottles, while it was seven bottles in Sweden and Iceland, and six bottles in Norway.
