Aug. 1--They arrived by chartered buses to listen, network and learn.
Residents of eight low-income apartment complexes gathered at the Potter's House on Saturday to learn more about educational, housing and enrichment programs available in their communities.
"We're here to show that some owners care about their community beyond the monthly rental check," said Alice Holmes, a local resident services coordinator for Washington-based NHP Foundation, which owns the properties.
