DETROIT _ Notre Dame on Saturday will play what might be its most important game since 1993.
That was the year the Irish were poised to become national champions after starting the season 10-0. Their 10th win came in what was called "The Game of the Century," when the No. 2 Irish beat No. 1 Florida State, 31-24, in South Bend.
Now the No. 6 Irish (7-0) travel to Tallahassee, Fla., for a noon game Saturday against the 11th-ranked Seminoles (5-2). A win would keep Notre Dame on track for a berth in a Bowl Championship Series game. But it won't be easy _ Notre Dame is a 10-point underdog for its first trip to Doak ...
