Lockheed Martin [LMT] was awarded a $2 billion contract yesterday from the Air Force yesterday for the Lot 4 production run of 22 F/A-22 multi-role fighters--more than three months after the two parties reached initial agreement on the Lot 4 award.
Lockheed Martin was also awarded a smaller $61.8 million contract from the Air Force for program sustainment through Dec. 31.
The Air Force and Lockheed Martin reached initial agreement on the Lot 4 award earlier this year (Defense Daily, March 25).
