ST. LOUIS _ What is it with the Cubs? They can lose even when they're not playing.
The last time the Cubs went to the playoffs, it was Robb Nen's blown save that paved the way. They would have been doubly indebted if Nen had experienced a meltdown Monday night in Atlanta.
But Nen nailed down the victory that got San Francisco into the National League Championship Series. Now Jim Hendry must wait at least another week before offering managerial free agent Dusty Baker, oh, before it's over it will be $5 million a year and a guide to show him where the fish are biting in Lake Michigan.
