Lately, I've noticed some pretty bizarre behavior from the squirrels in my neighborhood. They seem increasingly hostile toward us and one another. It may be my imagination, but I believe they sit high up in our trees, waiting for an unsuspecting human to walk below. When we come their way, they pelt us with nuts. OUCH!

Our back yard happens to be a banquet hall for squirrels and chipmunks. This time of year, they don't need to raid our bird feeders because the beech, oak and hickory trees are filled with tantalizing treats.
