Oct. 31--Five years ago, the sight of a man fashioning a crypt in his yard prompted stares.
Back then, Alex Kafalias was something of a pioneer, erecting tombstones and firing up the fog machine. Each October, he spent hundreds of hours -- and hundreds of dollars -- decorating his Tualatin home in honor of his favorite holiday.
