Oct. 17--While venture-capital investments have dramatically declined this year, Oklahoma has managed to buck the national trend, according to the president of the National Venture Capital Association.
This year, rather than seeing a decline in investments, Oklahoma has experienced a healthy upturn in the amount of venture capital dollars being invested in companies, Mark Heesen said.
In the first half of this year, $47.8 million had been invested into four Oklahoma companies, compared with $23.4 million invested in six companies last year.
