Understanding the Object-Oriented Model
Now in its second printing, Introduction to Object-Oriented Databases, written by Won Kim, strives to introduce the reader to concepts and issue in his emerging filed. Kim's presentation is based largely on his experience as director of the Orion project at the Microelectronics Computer Technology Corp. (MCC).
Orion, a family of three object-oriented DMBSs, was completed in 1989 after four years under development at the Austin, Texas-based high-tech consortium.
