Oct. 13--CHICAGO--In the Old West it was wise get out of town by high noon. In Chicago, it's "high moon."
The boating season officially ends with a nearly full moon at midnight Oct. 20. Boat owners who want to linger in Chicago harbors must move to a late-leaver harbor and purchase, for $210, a late-leaver permit, which stretches the season to Nov. 15. Late-leaver harbors are Belmont, Diversey and Burnham.
