Aug. 3--ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- The president and chief executive officer of Resorts Atlantic City had choice words yesterday for visiting New Jersey lawmakers who held a public hearing to estimate the impact of Pennsylvania's slot-machines initiative on this city.
First, any future in-state competition to casinos would be a deadly blow to Atlantic City, Audrey Oswell said.
"Atlantic City should continue to grow," she told the five-member Senate committee on wagering and tourism, which conducted the hearing at the Casino Control Commission. "We're not where we need to be."
