Oct. 3--Malvern, Pa.-based SCT Corp., a provider of software systems for colleges, said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Utah's Campus Pipeline Inc. but would not divulge how many employees will be laid off.
"This is a bittersweet time for us," said Tyler Thatcher, Campus Pipeline's chief financial officer, who said he does not know if he will be retained by SCT.
He said he believes privately-held Campus Pipeline will remain an important engineering and marketing center for the publicly-held SCT. However, he said the acquisition also means Campus Pipeline will lose local control, a number of jobs and its name when it ...
