LANDOVER, Md. _ Officially, the Washington Redskins said a "minor pepper spray release results in game delay." In an effort to stop a fan from assaulting another, Prince George's County police released a small amount of "caustic spray" to end the incident.
The sideline fans used to cool players pulled the spray into the Eagles' bench and affected some of the players.
That's what we found out after the game.
But at the moment it happened, when Eagles players, some of them coughing and choking, began sprinting from their sideline across the field, it was like being frozen in a Tom Clancy novel.
