Aug. 4--PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTEP) will spend US$23 million over the next six years to explore petroleum reserve in Burma's Gulf of Martaban according to president Maroot Mrigadat.
PTTEP will sign a production sharing agreement with the Rangoon government on Saturday to invest in offshore petroleum exploration blocks M-3 and M-4 as the operator with a 100 percent interest.
The two petroleum blocks, located in the Gulf of Martaban, covering an area of about 18,000 square kilometres.
