Aug. 3--The implications of a 20 percent cut in agricultural subsidies, as agreed to Saturday in World Trade Organization negotiations, are undetermined, said Ambassador Allen Johnson, U.S. chief agriculture negotiator.
"We won't know the impact for a while," he said.
The details have yet to be worked out. The subsidy cuts would go into effect at the conclusion of the talks, possibly in 2006.
"We're willing to reform but we've got to see others reform. If not, we won't agree to it," Johnson said.
