Article: ATA Flight Attendants Want Reworked Agreement; Latest Proposal Voted Down.

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- While desiring to help their employer survive during the difficult financial challenges currently facing all U.S. carriers, flight attendants at ATA Airlines, Inc., have nonetheless voted down a proposed restructuring agreement. Sixty-nine percent of the members of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA there participated in the vote.

Although members had concerns with some minor parts of the agreement, "the fact that the margin was only 33 votes shy of passing shows that the flight attendants are certainly willing to do their part to ensure ATA's success," said Jacki Pritchett, president of AFA's Master Executive Council ...
