Sep. 13--Faced with languid financial markets, Georgia-Pacific Corp. said Thursday it is delaying plans to split into two separate companies -- one for building products and another for consumer goods and packaging.
The company said the separation, first announced in May, has been complicated by persistent weakness for building products as well as a recently announced divestiture of the company's Unisource paper distribution business.
