OAKLAND _ Miguel Tejada peers out from his locker inside the A's clubhouse at Yankee Stadium, and he's surrounded. He squints as the strobe lights from dozens of cameras blind him. He recoils as even more microphones and notepads are shoved in his face.
He is the show.
"Superstar treatment," a teammate says.
Ah, yes. Superstar treatment. This is praise and attention that are reserved only for the game's elite, the guys who lift teams on their backs and carry them places they otherwise could not go. The best of the best.
Miguel Tejada is one of these guys now.
