Those questions were on the minds of the faithful who rose before sunrise Tuesday (or stayed up all Monday night) to celebrate the arrival of Springsteen's "The Rising" and NBC's "Today" show, which broadcast on location from 7 to 10 a.m. EDT in the down-on-its-luck shore town that gave the singer his start.
