CHICAGO _ The cunning American crow, both a hunter and a scavenger, has been accused of swiping everything from bagged household garbage to golfers' Cheese Nips. It can bark like a dog. And it will begin shrieking and cawing about 4:30 a.m. outside the bedroom window.
Lured by the perks of urban life _ fine dining, firearm restrictions and parking lot lights _ the cacophonous crow has been moving its family from rural roosts into crowded cities, and flourishing like never before.
