WASHINGTON _ Three times a year, Margaret Meyer of Kirkwood, Mo., gives money to a hunger relief organization.
Meyer, who votes in every election, follows the news from Washington and demonstrates an understanding of most major political issues, says that giving to charity isn't a political decision.
The 47-year-old mother doesn't really seek out a candidate's stand on hunger issues before she votes. And for their part, most politicians don't really tout much of what they do or don't do to combat the problem.
